I would check the brake lines/or bleed them out could be possible you have air in your brake lines. Take your car into a cruise and comeback to your home and when you get off touch the disk/drums surface if its real hot than you may have a brake line problem or the brakes were not installed properly another thing you can check is for sounds when you are braking osrt off like a deep rumbling scratching sound.

there is a switch up under the brake pedal
is your e-brake on?
open the drivers door neal down,look at the brake pedal and follow it up. There will be a switch that pushes in and out as the brake pedal is depressed and let go.
