The latch is broken or out of adjustment.
Yes, it just pops off.
consider it a car with a tailgate that pops up. search for Honda civic hatchback .. you see tons
I had a very similar problem on my 1987 Civic sedan. You will need to jack up the front end, remove the flat plate just to the left of center behind the bumper, and with a long screwdriver locate and push up on the latch release. Once the hood pops open and you release the second safety latch, you will need to jerry-rig or replace the cable. Good luck.
I have the same problem with a 2003 Saturn L200. My mechanically inclined brother showed me how to open it. I don't know if it'll work as well on a Civic but by reaching under the front of the car, between the bumper and radiator, and pulling the cable the hood pops open. Everything I've read on the net says that replacing them is a royal pain so I'm just going to have it replaced somewhere. Hope this helped.
All you have to do is remove the black cover on the inside corner be careful as it is clipped and it is easy to break..The nuts holding the mirror are 8mm just remove them..Disconnect the wire connector and it pops right out...
ummm...if you mean the OBDII it's located on the passenger side foot well. There is a concealed carpeted panel that pops off.
if you don't have power steering this should be a sinch. behind the headlight under the hood...you'll see the harness and a rubber donut. take off the harness by squeezing the sides, take off the rubber donut. there is a metal clip holding the light in, push in and up, it should come off the bulb and the bulb pops out...it may sound kinda difficult but: YOU CAN DO IT!! reverse for install
There is a latch that u pull up on by the button that pops, the trunk.
Stop immediately as safely as you can, then pull over to a safe position on the roadside.
welll sorry dont have a answer but just know you cant jack it open. the hood will bend before the latch pops open...unless you can buy a new hood good uck
Theres a latch behind the grill and once it pops up theres another latch under the center of the hood
