You could just be shedding older blood. If you are actually bleeding then you might have been pregnant, if it just a brown discharge, it's most likely old blood that hadn't shed before. It can also be some cells from the lining of the uterus. or if you've had sex your cervix may have been lacerated (or other parts of your vagina for that matter). If it only happens one month, i wouldn't be concerned. But if it continues definitely see your gyn asap. You could just be shedding older blood. ∙ 14y agoIf you have a brown discharge at the end of your period, this typically is just dried/left over blood. It should stop within a few short days after your period. Which is why it's good to wear something like pantiliners, even when you're done with your period.

It is perfectly normal to start your period weeks early and its dark brown. You mostly start with dark brown when you start your period and it turns red.
It can be either it just depends on the girl, mine is brown but it could be brown red or rusty red.
I'm pretty sure that's healthy, any where from red ish pink to dark brown is a normal color.
Sometimes it can be brown that. It is red because it makes klonts.
