The male will fertilize the eggs, and when eggs fall from the nest, the male beta will put them back into the nest. You need to remove female beta when eggs are layed. ∙ 15y agoIt is just making a bubble nest for breeding.If you put a female in he may mate with her but beware they lay up to 300 to 500 eggs and after each one hatches it must be put in a different jar than the others or it's just happy. But, only if it's just making a few bubbles around the bowl/tank.
