There are numerous studies and experts that indicate casual family or social nudity is actually a good thing!
Also note the cultural differences between the US and much of the rest of the world - the US is much more repressed in accepting that nudity is not always associated with sex. European attitudes are far more open and you'll find many Norwegian saunas fully co-ed & family oriented.
It would also be a very sad thing if a son became a primary care-giver to an elderly mother and could not deal with the simple sight of a nude body for administering baths and the like.

I never looked at it this way until the above poster informed us of this view. I would be sick if I saw my parents naked, and there is no way I could bath and wash them when they get old!
