What does shubo bijoya mean?

The term Bijoya , literally means Victory and Shubho Bijoya

means "The Auspicious Victory". Shubo Bijoya is celebrated from the

last day of Durga Puja, i.e., Vijaya Dashami to Kali Puja (Diwali).

It is celebrated for about a period of one month.When Maa Durga

destroyed the demon Mahishasur in a ten daylong battle, the day was

christened as Vijaya Dashami - the day of victory. This victory is

a celebration of good and end of evil era. Shubho Bijoya is not

just a traditional greeting, but also a way to celebrate the
