What does streptococcus cause?

It depends on which type of Streptococci it is. It can cause "strep throat," tonsillitis, rheumatic fever, and certain kidney ailments, whereas another group causes infections in teeth, in the sinuses (cavities) of the nose and face, and in the valves of the heart.

It is an infection virus that's spread all around us, but mostly in the medical environment. The MRSA bacteria is one of the worst types to get in a open wound. I speak from experience. Blood test will determine whichantibacterial a particular MRSA is reactive too. The wound will actually grow or spread (in my case) the antibacterial med was available only by intravenous means. and was reactive to Vancomisun only. The target for my doctors team was to keep the MRSA out any bones nearby.

I think the bacteria is a highly vicious bacteria that the medical society doesn't talk with patient about before any surgery.

For a swab the staff used a swab out of my nasal passage, and I was always isolated from any other staff or visitor without required uniforms in place. I also asked the operational staff to double all uniforms during surgery.

This info. is all from only my experience but I went through twelve hours and about six or more doctors for a flap/transplant.

This is not a single species. Under the genus "staphylococcus" there are so many species. There are 3 medically important species- 1. S. aureus 2. S. epidermidis 3. S. saprophyticus S. aureus causes suppurative (Abscess) diseases as well as systemic (affecting whole body) diseases. For example, Folliculitis, Furancle, Carbuncle, Cellulitis, Impetigo are suppurative. Toxic shock syndrome, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis, Arthritis and Endocarditis are systemic. S. epidermidis causes Endocarditis in patients with prosthetic heart valves. S. saprophyticus causes urinary tract infection. First two are members of our normal flora.
