There are prophecies of warning to God's people for forsaking Him: "'I, even I, AM the One who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear? Yet you have forgotten the LORD, your Creator, the One who put the stars in the sky and established the earth. Will you remain in constant dread of human oppression? Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies from morning till night? Soon all you captives will be released! Imprisonment, STARVATION, and death will not be your fate!...'" (Isa.51:12-14 NLT)

There are dreadful descriptions in the Bible of "cannibalism" resulting from the STARVATION that results from the deprivation of the wars the enemies of God's people bring upon them through their forsaking His laws.

The leaders of Israel are the head, and the lying prophets are the tail. The land is blackened by the fury of the LORD Almighty... They fight against their own neighbors to steal food, but they will still be HUNGRY. In the end THEY WILL EVEN EAT THEIR OWN CHILDREN.
