It would help if you told the name of the language that the word is from. In Spanish, le is "he" or "she" or "you" when added to the end of a verb, such as "Quiero decirle algo," means "I want to tell him (or her, or you) something." In French, le can mean the, him, her, it, or them.

The word 'le' may mean the. It's one of the definite articles in French. It's used with masculine gender nouns in the singular. The word also may mean him or it. It's one of the direct object pronouns. It refers to either a man or a masculine object as receiving the action of the verb in the sentence.
