Absolutely. Unless you are very lonely and are friends with anyone who bothers to look your way, or weak enough to surround yourself with people you secretly hate, but cant find the strength to let go of.
People are similar to the friends they make -- you can look at the personalities and characters of someone's friends and tell what sort of person they are.

Sometimes that is a good thing, but unfortunately some of these friends people choose can be toxic and not good for them. ∙ 13y ago- Yes there is truth in the statement 'tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are' because the type of people you hang out with tells a lot about your morality; loyalty; intelligence. You could have some friends that may appear strange to others, but are harmless and you find them interesting and one 'shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.' There is another saying, 'You lay down with dogs and you get up with fleas' which means if you pick the wrong type of crowd as friends that can be into drugs; crime, etc., you are judged by society as one of 'them' whether you are or not.

∙ 11y agoI think its got something to do with 'like attracts like' so if you hang out with a certian type of person you are judged to be the same type of person.
The company (friends) you keep, is the company you are.
