Hi :] im sorry but i think all breeds are equally likely to get cancer. However, there are many other diseases that a dog can get and you can look on dogbreedsinfo.com for a list and description of many dog breeds. Personally I recommend getting an Entlebucher Sennehund. I have one and i cannot imagine a dog any more perfect. :]

∙ 13y agoThere is little verifiable evidence that mixed breed dogs are healthier than purebreds; in fact, often they are prone to more genetic problems because defects present in all the ancestral breeds have a likelihood in showing up.
No particular breed has the fewest health problems, though more primitive-type dogs of medium size are more likely to be healthier for longer. The best way to raise your chances of getting a dog with few health problems, however, is to buy from a breeder who tests their stock for all health problems known in their breed, and not selecting a breed with extremely pervasive problems (cancer rates in Flat-Coated Retrievers, for example, are very high despite the breeds otherwise generally decent health, etc.) or a short muzzle (which often leads to breathing trouble).
