Depends on the size. In general, boas start off eating hopper mice and some large boas can eat a 10-12 pound rabbit. The size of the prey should be no larger than the girth of the snake at it's largest point.

I would suggest starting on rats as they are more nutritious and less fattening, a newborn boa constrictor could easily eat a rat pup. Never feed guinea pigs as they are EXTREMELY fattening and the oils on their fur causes complications over long-term consumption. Some of the smaller boas may need mice, but move them over to rats as soon as possible. A boa constrictor can take 1.5 times the size of the largest point of it's belly. It all depends on the boa species/subspecies the size they can take, but generally take fairly large meals. I personally am feeding my Boa constrictor imperator hopper rats, he is a little over 2.5 ft long and 1.5 times bigger around than my thumb.

Yes, all snakes eat only meat (whether mammals, birds, other snakes, or even insects, snails and fish eggs). Plants will pass through a snake's digestive system without being digested at all.
Yes, all snakes are purely carnivorous. Boa constrictors' diets can vary from birds, rodents, and even small monkeys. In captivity, they are often fed mice as juveniles and rats and rabbits as adults.
