The treaty was very harsh, particularly on the German people & economy. The Great Depression had a great effect on the Germans....Hyper Inflation led to great poverty. (People took their money to market in a wheelbarrow & took home their goods in a wallet !) This led to the rise of German Nationalism & the popularity of the Nazi party. The Versailles Treaty did not bring about WW2 in itself, but might well be seen as a contributory factor.

The Treaty that was signed in Versailles at the end of World War I set the stage for World War II. Because the treaty neither made peace with Germany nor completely demolished the country, Germany was able and willing to get revenge for the loss of the war and the humiliation of the treaty. German territory was never invaded in World War I, which made it hard for the Germans to believe that they had lost. Not only that, but Germany was also blamed for the war in order to justify the payments the Allies demanded. The German economy could not support those payments, and while not many were made the economy was still in bad shape. This allowed Hitler to take power, as he was able to fix the economy.

The treaty of Versailles influenced the beginning of World War 2 because it wasn't fair to them in it's punishment for Germany considering the were on the brink of bankruptcy. So then Hitler came and promised the Germans the revenge that they wanted causing the start of World War 2.

The treaty of Versailles blamed Germany for causing the war (WWl) and everyhing that had happened in it. At the conference which decided the terms of the treaty, Germany was not permitted to speak, while France and England were. Part of the arrangement was that Germany had to pay off all war debts and damage for the other countries, as well as trying to pick its self up. Germany was then thrown into the Great Depression. Anger built up at those other countries over thefollowing years, and then Hitler came along promising revenge.

World War One officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. The treaty was especially rough on Germany who was blamed for starting the Great War. The burdens it placed on Germany, gave men like Hitler, fuel to bring nationalism back to Germany. The form it took in the 1930's was the fascist Nazi Party.
