eye makeup: eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara
eyeliner: do NOT put on your waterline, I don't remember what it does but it's not good for your eye
make sure to not put on TOO light but not TOO dark either
colored eyeliner is cool but don't wear it everyday
how to put it on: this is how I do it
pull the skin below your eye down gently
make sure your eyeliner is sharp and don't put too much pressure and kind of draw a line right UNDER your waterline
now time to put it on your eyelid.. pull the skin next to your eye gently to the side... this is so you can close that eye but keep the other one open to see what you're doing
now gently draw a line on the edge of your eyelid
repeat for other eye
eyeshadow:
have someone help you find the right shade for your eye color... or you can do one that doesn't necessarily make your eyes pop but it's pretty... like pink and be sure to get a brush of something to apply it to your eye
how to put it on:
just like for the eyeliner pull your skin to the side
get the amount you want onto your brush and just go across your eyelid but not to high
repeat for other eye
mascara: there are many different kinds, colors, and brands of mascara you'll find a favorite one
how to apply: put brush not TO close to eyes but in between your top and bottom lases and be sure there's the mascara on the brush and blink until you get the amount of mascara you want don't apply to much!
repeat for other eye
There are several steps in applying makeup carefully. Go to http://www.YouTube.com and type in "Makeup Tutorials". You'll find plenty of makeup tutorials that will show you visually how to apply it correctly and enhance your beauty. step one. Make sure your face is clean and free of bacteria and clean. Wash it, then put sunscreen or moisturizer. You'll need a good mirror for makeup application. step two. Put a small drop of foundation on a makeup sponge (the drop must be no bigger than the size of a dime) step three. Blend foundation on your face outwards using fingers or sponge. step four. Reach your concealer. Dab it on areas that are red, blochy, or dark. step five. Sharpen your eyeliner pencil. Don't sharpen it too sharp or the point might break off. Draw a thin line around your entire eye. Start from the tear ducts and draw small strokes outward. Repeat for the lower lash lines. step six. Reach for your mascara and sweep it on your eyelashes. Reach for your eyeshadow and sweep it over your lids. step seven. Reach for your blush and get your brush. Get a small amount of blush and tap it over your wrist to remove the excess. Too much blush can make your makeup stand out rather than your face. Sweep it on your cheekbones and extand it outwards to your hairline. step eight. Reach for your lip gloss or lip stick. Apply it liberally over your lips. Lipstick can fade in the middle of your lips. Put on more in the middle of your lips. You can also try on different shades and styles of makeup just by uploading a picture of yourself withOxygen's MakeoverMatic tool. It's really cool and has tons of choices. This is how i do my makeup:
use foundation thst matches your skin tone. wipe off excess with a square of toilet paper or cotton swab.
apply and blend conceler
use a translucent powder to set the makeup
Line upper water line with a matte black eyeshadow and a small angled brush
apply eyeshadow of choice or just like your lash line
put mascara on after curling your lashes
use a natural lip stain or apply a lip balm
try to use makeup with spf of at lease fiften
buy cheaoer products and splurge on mascras and eyeshadows
get testers as often as you can
if you wear a really bright colour on your eyes balance it out with nude lips and a nutral blush
This really depends on what color your eyes are. If you are only beginning to experiment makeup, it's best to keep it simple for now, before you begin to experiment with the more complicated and intense looks (smokey makeup, evening looks, etc.) For brown eyes, it's best to start off with a mauve color palette. Remember that, since brown does not have an opposite/complementary color (because it is made up of all the different colors), most eyeshadow colors work with brown eyes. For green eyes, you would want to try deep forest colors and gray, or bright yellow and orange. For blue eyes, blue eyeshadow works if you don't overpower your original eye color. If you have hazel eyes, it's usually a combination of colors. Figure out if your eyes tend to be more brown, green or gray, and go from there (using the other tips above.)
When applying face make up make sure that your face is freshly washed and moisturized. Using a moisturizer with SPF is always a good idea as is a tinted moisturizer because you can often eliminate a heavy foundation.
From http://www.covergirl.com/makeup-tips/eye-makeup-tips. They have many good tips. Clamp an eyelash curler at the root of your upper lashes and hold for five seconds. Repeat on the middle of lashes and again near the tips.
