Energy is typically stored as liquids in living organisms. Carbohydrates can also be used but liquids are used for their high energy content and ease of degradation. (I think he means lipids, not liquids.)
Another answerAt the most basis (and therefore most primitive) level the cell makes use of adenosine triphosphate. All living things (excepting viruses) utilize this chemical for their internal energy needs.see link.
The next step up would be the utilization of sugars. The most basic of these would be Glucose but there are other types.
see link
Next would be the production of starch which is really just a bunch of sugar in a long chain.
After Starch would be unsaturated fats as found in fish oil. Fish don't produce these but consume the micro algae that do.
In higher animal Saturated fats are the most common means of energy storage.
The energy in biomass is stored in the form of chemical energy from the Sun. This energy can be converted into heat or some other usable energy when the biomass material is burned.
Chemical energy, which is a form of potential energy.
Energy is not a substance that is stored somewhere; in the case of chemical energy (which is what happens with biomass), the energy is defined by the relationship of different atoms.

One reason why biomass energy is not a good energy source is that a large amount of land is need to create enough electricity to make biomass efficient. Another reason is that it can consume more fuel.
solar energy uses the sun and biomass uses waste to make energy
Both biomass, and the food stock that is fermented to make alcohol require sunlight to grow.
Not that I know of, however, it is basically like this. Garbage, ,manure or wood is burned, heat is given off and that's biomass, water can be added to make steam, that's also biomass.

in the nucleus
Biomass is any organic material, and we process this material into things like gas to create electricity.
solar energy uses the sun and biomass uses waste to make energy
People burn it sometimes for heat, sometimes for steam to help make electricity.
Biomass energy comes from plants - such as wood waste, corn kernels or non food energy crops which are generally used to make liquid fuels, heat or electricity. The cost of energy produced from biomass always depends on the type of biomass that is being utilized, the type of energy being produced (heat, electricity or fuel), the technology used and the size of the plant. Power plants that can burn biomass directly can generate electricity at a cost of 7 to 9 cents per kilowatt-hour.
it's renwable it can be used up to make electricity it can be turned into a fuel like gasoline it gets energy from the sun biomass is an every plant and animal matter on the earths surface it is anything that is living
