I would check the brake light switch first. It's a common problem. The switch is located down on the brake pedal and is easy to change. Use a 12 volt test light to check for power at the switch. You've changed the bulbs or checked for voltage at the brake light sockets first?
mmmm... still thinking about it
the fuse is next to the parking brake The relay is in the box under the hood near the wipers.
Check your fuses, especially #23 (probably labelled and in the fuse block to the left of the brake pedal, not in the underhood relay board).
Usually at the base of the brake pedal.
Sounds like it's not your bulb that is bad. It may be your brake switch isn't working.
You can find several relay switches on your 1990 Cadillac Sedan Deville. Most relay switches will be in the fuse box. The relay switches will be in the third column of the fuse box.
a blind contour is somone or somthing that can't see
Left, right and center high mount. See sources and related links below for more information on bulbs.
Sometimes one part of the bulb can blow but the other part is still intact. Replace the bulb and see if that makes it work again. Just make sure you get the 2 pin staggered offset bulb for tail/brake.
A brake fluid leak in the brake system, LOW BRAKE FLUID.
