The k means it was made in St. Catherines, the 0218 is Feb. 18, and the tmm says that it's either a 1974 350 2 barrel, or a 1980 350 4 barrel.

The number is stamped on the back of the engine behind the driver side head on a flat deck were the transmission bolts up to the engine. You can see the "casting number" with an inspection mirror. On some later model engines the last 3 numbers are stamped between the freeze plugs on the side of the engine.
Facing the engine and to the right of center just below the intake manifold you will see a flat area about 1/2 inch wide and 2 inches wide. The numbers will be stamped on that area.
Every Chevrolet V-6 engine block has a metal plate attached to the engine block, listing the specifics of the engine. The casting numbers should be on the engine block plate.

The block casting codes are stamped by the distributor and the head casting numbers are on the two center exhaust ports. There are plenty of online sites that will help you decode these numbers.
