you might have to vacuum by their cage because they might spill their food, and they might also spill some of their bedding out of their cage. make sure they have water, and food. Also, to clean their cage, buy them a running ball. dont leave them to just walk around, they might just run away!!
But at some point they are hard to take care of , you have to make sure they have a big roomy cage , and you have to keep them company or they will pass away. Don't feed them
celery , or broccoli , or anything they can choke on . You must show them you love them.
Not really. You still have to feed them and give them fresh water daily. Also every day you need to put them in an exercise ball. If you have a 1/2 hour a day you can spare, then get a hamster. Most don't like to be held.
Hamsters are probably one of the easiest animal pets to care for. They're so hardy and independent that they make them one of the best pets for young children. All you really need is a simple cage with an exercise wheel or ball, some hamster food, a water bottle, and some hard toys or wood for them to chew. A hamster's teeth are constantly growing so they need some form of a hard surface to chew on. Wood blocks are the best and they're cheap at your local pet store. Be careful where you keep your hamster. Don't keep them in a place where the temperature reaches below 60 degrees. Your hamster could think that it was winter and may slip into a state of hibernation. Hibernation for hamsters is exactly like what hibernation for wild animals is. They get extremely icy cold and appear to be dead. This most likely will not happen however, so do not worry too much about this.
Overall, hamsters are fantastic pets. They make great friends and barely ever bite as long as they are handled and played with often.
Have fun!
it really depends what you consider tough...
things you must do
Not necissarily. Some hamsters are harder then other. Hamsters have the same basic needs as all living things, so, if you can't or are not willing to provide clean environment, love, food, water, attention, excersize, etc. Then please do not get a hamster. If you can, then good luck to the both of you!! (:

well all pets need care even turtles so yes it will need care but it will not need a lot of care
Syrian hamsters, as they tame very easily, and are quite large so they are easy to hold. Also they live alone, so you don't have to clean out a massive cage designed for two hamsters.
Yes. You need to feed them every day, give them water every day, play with them every day, and clean their cage once a week.
