Baby hamsters can be with its Mother hamster until they are 3 to weeks old.
If you see them fighting between 3 to 4 weeks separate them immediately.
when they are 4 weeks babies will e matured to mate and make more babies!
Matured hamsters should be left alone in the cage to avoid fighting and can put together only for breeding purposes. Only when the Female is in heat. Female will freeze when you rub its back, this is how ou know that she is in heat :)
Only Dwarf hamsters can have other hamsters in their cage, but from the same gender (unless you want hamster babes!) and they would have to be introduced to each other when they are babies. If you put other types of hamsters together in the same cage they can become aggresive, bite and even kill each other, so please don't put them together in the same cage unless they're Dwarf hamsters and they've known each other since they were babies! :)
No!! Teddy bear hamsters are Syrian hamsters'. All hamsters' are territorial creatures and some species will cohabitate together. That is with the exception of the Syrian hamster. Syrian hamsters' along with being territorial are also solitary by nature, meaning they prefer to live alone, that's the way they like it. They live together quite pleasantly as young pups' but become fiercely territorial after six to eight week of age.
It depends on what type of hamsters, and how big the cage is.
YES,they can but they should be treated nicely
Teddy bear hamsters are Syrian, so don't put them in the same cage. But I have both types, boy and girl. They get along perfectly (though not in the same cage). Every hamster's personality is different. In the same cage- it may result in fighting and death. So be careful!
Syrian Hamsters will kill and eat a gerbil, do not put them together in the same cage.
Yes, one just has longer hair, but are the same breed.
There is no such breed as a Dwarf teddy bear hamster. The normal 'Teddy Bear' hamster is just a nick-name given to another variation of the Syrian hamster. This is the long haired variety and is sometimes referred to as the "Teddy Bear" These hamsters are all one and the same breed, the Syrian hamster. (Mesocricetus auratus) No attempt should be made to intermix different species.
No. One is a Syrian Hamster, the other is a Dwarf Hamster. They are not the same species, they are not even the same genus.
The same as if it were summer !
No. They are both rodents and probably related as a species, but are not the same animals at all.
yes, no matter what the hamster is you can always use the same cage wire, plastic, or aquarium
No teddy hamsters and dwarf hamsters cant stay together
NO. You can not put two different animals in the same cage! This is dangerous. They may fight and the hamster will probably not live. So unless you want a dead hamster, do not put them together.
It isn't a good idea to have two hamsters in the same cage. I had 3 hamsters and we had to have separate cages for them. I wouldn't exactly know cuz I've never had a panda bear hamster before, but i think its all the same for any kind of hamster. Hope this helped :D
