It is really hard to answer this question.However, it's a good one. The political system here in the Philippines, I think, is not applicable now to the country. The problem in the political system in the Philippines is that it cannot go with the changes in the country. For example, there are no laws that answer the problems in corrupt officials( if ever there is, it is not exercised properly). The people in the government also adds to the political turmoil in the country. There are many corrupt officials who are free to do what they want. I think both the political system and the people running the government should both be blamed. Both should be cleaned.

Why does overpopulation happen in underdeveloped countries more than in developed countries?
I believe that overpopulation is likely the cause of an underdeveloped country. I suppose it is a chicken or the egg question though. it happens because People in LEDCs have a lot of children on the basis that most of them won't survive and some won't reach adulthood. But most do and increase that family this happening on a major scale which can add up to huge problem. This causes a problem for the family with food, shelter and care, but it causes a problem for the country. Like another mouth to feed and more land to have to spare for a home rather than farming and other problems. This seems all quite minor but can happen together in huge quantities so that the country looses a lot of each year.It may also happen because of immigration this happens in generally richer countries. It happens because the MEDCs have great resources and the people can come over and have a better Homeland or to avoid starvation or escape revolution and war. People also move to escape religious or political persecution. But a generally the main reason is always been economic opportunity e.g. the search for better land or a better job.
How do you prevent poverty in the Philippines?
The first thing that needs to happen to solve the problem of poverty is to weed out government corruption. But there are charities, like the Philippine Aid Society, that are fighting poverty and one way to help be part of the solution is to support these initiatives.
