DON'T STOP TAKING PROZAC SUDDENLY. you will most likely go through a period of withdrawal in which you could be extremely anxious, agitated, exhausted, and/or depressed. It is much better to wean yourself off gradually--get help fromyour doctor.

∙ 12y agowell im 16, and im on prozac, havent taken it in 3 days, And i feel like i wanna kill myself, mostly because my pet escaped and im really sad, i have cut myself while not on my meds, Please dont be a fool like me, take your meds :( I have scars all over my arms, scars that my mother dont know about :/

∙ 12y agoYou should NEVER stop taking anti-depressants suddenly, as it can lead to unpleasant and dangerous physical and mental side effects, including (but not limited to):
-Sudden and well-defined mood swings
-Sexual dysfunction (disinterest in sex, impotence)
-Increased sex drive (not the worst side effect...)
-Acute depression
-Dizziness
-Distortion of reality
-Lowered attention span
-Trouble focusing
