my theory- when Cortez conquered the Aztecs he must of conquered the Mayans to since they were both in Mexico
What happen was eventually, the Spanish came along and conquered what ever village`s was in their path and the Mayan village was one of them.
no one really knows how the empire acctually dissapeared,but there are still decendents living in mexico.
