The balloon expands or even pops. Because when a gas gains heat energy the particles in it move faster and further apart creating a greater force on the inside of the balloon until the balloon cannot contain that force.

when the temperature of a gas is reduced, free electrons are pulled back in nucleui due to +ve strength they disintegrates.a small energy seeking elctron is produced which as soon as gains energy burts into shape than free electrons.in a simple way it condenses to form liquid, then more [positive nucleas.this all becomes due to high pressure.when pressure is released it reches higher enegy levels and comes back to electron rotatry path and releases tremendrus energy.even after becoming gas.

As a gas cools, it becomes more dense, reducing the volume of the balloon. The weight of the balloon and the gas contained within do not change, only the volume changes.

What happens to a volume of a gas when temperature is decreased?

Temperature and volume vary directly, so if temperature decreases, so does volume. Volume decreases because the measure of the average kinetic energy of the gas particles (temperature) is decreasing also. When that happens, a gas cannot expand, and will decrease.

What happens to the temperature when a liquid becomes a gas?

The temperature decreases

Why would cooling the gas in an air balloon make the balloon contract?

== == According to Charles's Law, "At constant pressure, the volume of a given mass of an ideal gas increases or decreases by the same factor as its temperature (in Kelvin) increases or decreases." Therefore, if the temperature of the gas is decreased, the volume of the gas will decrease proportionally, and the balloon will contract.

What happens to the volume of a gas - if the temperature is decreased?

It decreases.

What happens to gas solute in a solution when the temperature decreses?

The solubility of gas increases as the temperature decreases.

What would happens if you put a balloon in a freezer?

The balloon would shrink because the average kinetic energy of the gas molecules in the balloon decreases when the temperate decreases. Go and try it is a pretty fun!

Inflated balloon that is taken from a heated roomto a cold outdoor?

The balloon will shrink when it goes outside. How much it shrinks will depend on the temperature difference. As temperature decreases the gas(ses) in the balloon decrease in volume causing the balloon to shrink.

What happens to the rates of dissolution as the temperature is increased in a gas solution?

The rate decreases.

What happens to the rate of dissolution as the temperature is increased in a gas solution?

The rate decreases.

What happens to gases when they are cooled?

The molecules of the gas will slowly start to slow down, causing a drop in temperature.

What happens to the pressure of a gas inside of a container if the temperature of the gas decreases?

The pressure of the gas would also decrease.

What happens to the pressure of a confined gas at a constant temperature when the volume is reduced by half?

pressure decreases
