The full title of this Bible letter/book is "The Epistle of Paul the Apostle To The Galatians". The introduction says it was written 'unto the churches in Galatia'. Galatia is in Turkey, on the plateau between the Taurus and Paphlagonia mountain ranges. At the time the letter was written, this area was a Roman Province. The 'churches' to whom the letter was written would have been the new congregations of believers there, in Galatia, established in various cities of the province following visits by the first-century Christian missionaries, including Paul himself.
