Henry VIII only had one son. His son Edward VI was born to his third wife Jane Seymour. Henry died when Edward was only 9 years old. Henry's will named 16 executors to act as Edward's council until he was 18 and old enough to rule himself. Edward was a Protestant. He died when he was 15, and his cause of death is unknown.
