Veritys Limited manufactured electrical fans (like Orbit, Junior) but was primarily a manufacturer of electrical goods like turbines, switches. During both World Wars it was nationalised because of its role in the War effort.

Sadly the company went into liquidation in 1958 while moving to a new site at Aston. The Midland bank pulled in a bridging loan and financial issues forced the issue.

The company was set up in 1819 as B.Verity & Sons - were originally coal merchants moving to London and establishing a Victorian enterprise to served the Empire. The company put the wiring into Buckingham Palace and visited Thomas Edison to understand the potential of the new discovery of electricity.
