The age limit exists for legal reasons. Not because Answers wants to be a mean, fun-killer.
15 is the minimum age allowed for becoming a Supervisor on Answers, therefore it is the minimum age for joining TIP.
Supervisors will be exposed to a lot of material that would normally be avoided by everyday people. For example, occasional insults and threats from those who don't follow the rules. The supervisor will also need to be mature and remain professional in these situations. The minimum age limit of 15 exists for legal reasons to protect people from that content.
If you lie about your age, you will be found out. You will be kicked from the program, blacklisted from joining TIP either until you are of legal age or for a permanent length and probably blacklisted from becoming a Supervisor on Answers. You may also be blocked from the website.
That may sound harsh, but by lying about your legal age, you have committed fraud and have shown that you cannot be trusted. It is also unfair on everyone else who had to wait until they turned 15.

How do you earn badges in The Initiates Program?
When you join The Initiates Program you will be given a program badge for your profile. This is displayed in the badges section of your profile and cannot be edited by yourself. You will also earn a different badge for each mission that you complete in the program. These badges are placed in your editable profile section (your "about me" section). This means that you are free to edit their position by editing your profile.
Do I lose any of my badges if I join The Initiates Program?
No, you will not lose any of your current badges if you join The Initiates Program. However, if you are promoted to Supervisor when you graduate, the TIP member badge is removed from your profile, since by graduating from the program you are no longer a TIP member. Also if you are a premier answerer, you will lose the premier answerer badge when you become a Supervisor, because due to technicalities you can only have either the premier answerer or supervisor badge.
Can TIP members revert answers?
No, members of The Initiates Program (TIP) cannot revert answers. Members of the program do not gain any extra tools when they join. Reverting is a supervisor-only tool.
