∙ 11y agoMost of the time corruption happens to several files on your computer. Some viruses will even have the ability to disable your anti-virus or just pass it with no issue. A Virus can replicate itself and move along to other devices on a network if allowed to. Please keep in mind that a virus is only one type of infection. There are many computer infections out there and they all do certain things. Trojans hide themselves as a legit program until you click on it. Adware will cause pop ups on your computer more frequently, rootkits have the ability to disable your whole OS.
