What happens after someone gets reported on runescape?

nothing! nothing happens! maybe you could get muted for 1-2 days but that's it!

This is not true, when you are reported, the system automatically takes a 15 minute screen shot of the game (I'm not sure when this starts and when it ends) where the player who reported is standing and will report whatever they heard. If there is anything that is illegal going on, they do contact the police, however if u're just spamming or doing something petty, then you will just get a mute or ban for 24-72 hours, depending on how bad the offence was.

1. After someone gets reported on RuneScape, a screen shot goes to Jagex.
2. Jagex reviews the report made against the player.
3. Jagex mades a decision on how to punish the player if the report is a liget abuse report.
4. Jagex places the offence on the account of the player that commited the offence. It will either be a ban, or a mute.
5. You can review your offences made against you under the Help tab on the main RuneScape homepage.

As of 01/06/2009, anyone reported for foul or offensive behaviours recevie a 3 month ban, a 2nd offence you get a 6 month ban and a 3rd offence is a 3 year ban.
