The brown color will dominate the blonde color when mixed, but it will be a lighter shade of brown. For example, if you mixed a level 5 (light brown) with a level 6 (dark blonde) in equal parts, this will simply lighten that level 5 and you will get "lightest brown."

the dye will typically not have enough power to lighten the red and it will turn out to be a very brassy orange/red. Unless you mix the blonde dye with a 40 volume developer and leave it on long enough, then it might lift it enough. Red is the hardest color to keep in, and the hardest color to get out.

Well, my hairs is naturally blonde, but I dye it a few shades lighter and I recently did the underneath purple. And now, I'm dying everything blonde again...over the purple. In short, the current color(where the purple was) is now green. Not a good time, ha.

So, in short: I'm gonna say no for right now.

If it's exact same colour, same brand, etc. then it is safe but if it's different, there is a chance that it may go wrong and mix become some random colour like pink or blue. Although, most of the time this will not happen and it will be safe. Wait a while after having your highlights done and it almost definitely won't happen.

It becomes more of a purpley red hair color. the two colors will mix because of the pigment in them. basically, the coloring will not turn out to be purple, but a dark pink.

It will lift it a bit, so the hair will see some damage. But, overall, it should not be too bad.
