The president is fired
The bill automatically dies. For a president to allow that to happen is known as a pocket veto.
President Lincoln's last public speech was given on April 11, 1865, from the White House, 2 days after Lee surrendered to Grant.
The President can use a pocket veto is when two conditions exist: Congress adjourns for more than ten days, and bill return to Congress is not possible. In recent years, presidents have used a controversial procedure called a "protective return" pocket veto, when presidents claim the right to pocket veto a bill, but then return it to Congress's legally designated agents.
10 days
Gerald Ford served as president for two years, five months, and eleven days, from August 9, 1974, to January 20, 1977.
It passes
If the president holds the bill for ten days, it becomes a law.If the Congress adjourns during those ten days, it is vetoed

everthing gonna be down
the bill terminate from becoming a law
It is called a pocket veto.
the bill is automatically vetoed. aka pocket veto :)
If the Congress is still in session, the bill becomes a law after 10 days even if the President has not signed it or vetoed it. If the President vetoed the bill, Congress has to override the veto in order for it to become a law. If the President has not signed the bill within 10 days and the Congress is not in session, it does not become a law. This is called a "pocket veto."
After 10 days, the bill becomes law without the President's signature unless Congress adjourns before he has had ten days to consider the bill. In this latter case, the bill dies and does not become law. (known as a pocket veto)
If the President takes no action after 10 days, the legislation is automatically vetoed and is returned for a re-vote in the House and Senate. This is referred to as a "pocket veto", because the President can just let the bill die without having to give a reason for the action or officially opposing the bill.
Once Congress has passed a bill, the President has 10 days to sign it, and it becomes law, or veto it, and send it back to Congress. If the President does not sign or veto the bill in 10 days, it becomes law without the Presidents signature, if Congress is in session. If the President does not sign or veto it in 10 days, and Congress is NOT in session, it is vetoed, called a pocket veto.
It goes into action but it is not a law SOURCE: I am Jeremy Mawrice
