Low platelet count leads to petechial hemorrhages. They can be seen at the hair roots. Later on you can have bleeding gums and bleeding through your nose. There can be vomiting of blood and bloody diarrhoea.

Platelets in the blood clot to close a wound when this occurs.

When the number of them decreases, you won't have enough to clot and the blood will continue oozing blood.

This is not safe and it is a problem for you as you could lose a lot of blood from a small wound.

This could be arranged by taking in injections or having operations done in the red bone marrow to increase the production and thus increase the number of platelets in your blood.
