If you feed a small amount of lettuce to domestic rabbits, it will be fine. If you give a whole leaf, the rabbit will have an upset stomach and will have a temporary case of diarrhea.

∙ 12y agoCarrots and lettuce are not the best foods for rabbits, although rabbits do tend to like these foods.
Carrots are high in sugar and carbohydrates, and they should be considered a treat. Rabbits who eat too many treats become ill.
Light-coloured lettuces like Iceberg are simply not very nutritious, and eating too much of it will lead to health problems. On the other hand, dark leafy greens like Romaine lettuce are very healthy for rabbits and can be eaten in limited amounts every day.

∙ 14y agoNo it will not. Rabbits are "supposed" to be fed leafy greens such as kale or lettuce every day. The serving size should be around the size of your rabbit's body

∙ 12y agoThe rabbit will get really bad diarrhea, also called wet tail. You can get medicine for the diarrhea symptoms. SO make sure you don't give your rabbit lettuce.
