Most ornamental iron workers use this to make a patina or naturally instant rust finish on metals to give an antique look. Try a cap of each in a full spray bottle of water and just spray directly on metal surface. To stop the rusting just rinse. Be sure to wear eye and hand protection.

It goes bang - not sure what the chemistry behind the reaction is as H+ can't be oxidised. Tried this in a recent reaction - wasn't good - evolved a lot of gas and produced a sutty coloured solution. Also, other chemicals were present that could have affected the reaction, namely 2-nitrophenol. In summary don't know whether the adverse reaction was solely due to the addition of hydrogen peroxide to bleach.

Hope this assists observations.

p.s. wear specs.
