Well, yes true. She WAS the ONLY African American to try to vote but went to jail for it she thought it was unfair to have only whites to vote so she went ahead a TRIED to vote. During a time in America when black people were beingtreated very badly, she made a televised speech questioning America about things many others also wanted to know, but were scared to ask. She was fearless, she asked the hard questions, and there changes made regarding voter's rights because of her.
