Two plans were presented at the Constitutional Convention: the New Jersey Plan and the Virginia Plan. The Virginia Plan drew fire from the smaller states (i.e., New Jersey and Rhode Island) because it favored the larger, more poulated states, but the New Jersey Plan favored the smaller states. In the end, the Great Compromise was made, agreeing to combine the two to please both sides. This is only the basics of the Constitutional Convention. Look more up for more info!
