Yes, a cat can indeed give birth to only one kitten.

I have a cat that gave birth to only one kitten.

A cat can give birth to as few as one kitten to as many as 14, though the average litter size is around 4-5. Many different factors can go into why your cat only gave birth to one kitten.

unusual. cats rarely give birth to only 1 kitten. but it can happen.

The kitten emerges from the birth canal at the vaginal opening (below the anus).

Cats tongues are so rough so when I give birth it can clean its kitten better. (This is only a female cat)

It might have been because the cat was stressed or the kitten was threatening the mother cats health.

Then you will have to bottle feed the kittens or get another cat with kittens to do it. You can ask a vet if you need kitten formula. A pregnant cat will usually not show milk until soon before she gives birth.

A new queen (cat who has given birth) should be fed free-choice kitten kibble until the kittens are approximately half-weaned, about 8 weeks of age or so.

The mother Cat has the baby and when the kitten(s) are born they have their eyes closed. In about 2-3 weeks the kitten(s) will have their eyes open!

It doesnt matter how old you are, the cat is as old as his date of birth to present day.

Yes. Sometimes the kitten may be dead. You will need to go see a vet or take the cat to the animal hospital. Just get her checked up.

About the size of a new born cat or rabbit kitten.

Cat = kat, or if it is a female one: Poes Kitten = kitten

the kitten is a baby cat. So the kitten comes 1st.

Some list this as an item needed to tie off the umbilical cord after the kitten is born. However, in my experience this is not needed.

The leopard's life cycle from birth to death is kitten, todler, young cat, cat, death.

It's probably because the cat is a little scared of the kitten. If your cat gave birth to the kitten, then it's having a hard time getting its meow right. Because when a kitten comes out of its mama, the mama's tummy hurts a little when it came out. So give your cat some time to think and get its meow right. Or just let the cat get to know the kitten. Good luck with that. :)

Keep watching - most cats don't have a problem delivering a kitten breach. However, if your cat is unable to deliver the kitten within 30 minutes, you need to take her to the vet immediately.
