A 1949 Liberty Nickel is not a genuine American coin. Liberty Nickels were last minted in 1912 and do not include a 1949 version. If you have a coin stamped with Liberty and the year 1949, it may be counterfeit or a novelty item.

In worn condition minimum retail prices are at least a couple of dollars, but could be much higher depending on the coin's date.
