Lock on driver frot side is not working
How do you remove the driver side door panel of a 1998 VW Beetle to replace the door handle cable?
Remove the drivers side door panel of your Mercedes-Benz. Remove the door lock assembly retaining bolts. Remove the door lock linkage. The door lock assembly will come off.
you can lock the driver side door on my 2001 ford explorer sport but it wont unlock with key nor key pad you have to go through passanger door
its in the driver side door in the actual power door panel
The driver's side lock unlocks and locks the other doors, gas panel, and trunk, depending on how you have set the trunk lock. If you have one you can figure out the trunk if your system is working. There are two settings. You can NOT lock the driver's side door if the door is open. This is to prevent you from locking your key inside.
it has being disagned to loock only when door is closed(not to loock your kees )
Follow in order: -remove key from steering column -close all doors -open driver door -insert key in steering lock -repeat the following 3 times in 24 secs: -turn key to on then back to lock -push driver side door switch 3 times -check that door lock and unlocks-if not wait 40 secs -if lock and unlock-push any button twice -check that door locks and unlocks-if not push driver side door switch -if lock and unlock-push any button twice -check that door locks and unlocks-if not push driver side door switch -if lock and unlock-push any button twice -check that door locks and unlocks-if not push driver switch -if lock and unlock-the end. -remote should work after this.
The Drivers Door Module or Passenger Door Module on a 2003 suburban is also known as the "window / door lock" switch. These modules are located on each respective door, i.e. driver side door or passenger side door. It is the module that has the door lock/unlock switch and window up/down switch. Hope this helps...
On the driver's side, you have to pull open the inside door handle, then press down the automatic lock button as the handle is pulled out.
My 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the issue that if I lock all the doors with the automatic lock. I can't unlock the door on the driver side with the key without the Security Alarm going off. To resolve this issue, I have to go to the passenger side, unlock the door there with the key, then go around to the driver side and open the door on the driver side with the key.
I just had this problem with my car (Nissan Sentra). What I did was take the door panel off from the passenger side door to see how the door handle worked and the set up. On my car the door handle has a cable that hooks to the lock assembly. When you pull the door handle the cable pulls up on the lock assembly lever then the door opens. So after taking a good look at the passenger side I was able to get an idea to where I had to pull up on the lock assembly lever on the driver side. I used a hanger to pull up on the lock assembly lever and finally got my door open. Then took the door panel off the driver side to check and fix the problem. Hope this can help you.
