Check the Transmission Fluid level. If it is ok, then the filter may be clogged. If not, then it will need to be taken to a transmission shop.

∙ 11y agoi have a Oldsmobile LS 88 1996 and my car will not start unless i put a lot of pressure to the ignition with the key in it. Then it will turn on... how do i fix this problem?

Ive not got an answer, I have had my megane for six months. I open my car with the fob turn the ignition, sontimes its starts and sometimes it dosent. I have to take my key out of the ignition lock and unlock the car. It just seems to start when it feels like it. Anyone got any advice.

If the lights in the car come on, then at least part of the system is getting power. Check the battery connections again. Then check the starter solenoid and starter to insure that they are getting power and are working properly.

The problem is not the starter. The battery is either not holding or not receiving enough charge. Problem could be (1) loose alternator beltl (2) loose/corroded battery cable(s); (3) dead cell(s) in the battery; (4) bad alternator.

That could be the alternator or the battery. Try jump starting your car with another car's battery. If it still does not start, it is probably the alternator. If it starts, your battery is dead.

It depends on the problem. Help cannot be given without knowledge of the defect.after car has been driven for 15 mins and it is hot and you stop and start again in 10 mins it wont start for say 40 mind idle then starts again and drives perfect
