I'd check the cooling fan sensor, usually located on the plug in portion where the connector clips into the fan connector. There is usually a thermistor? componet that tells the engine computer that the engine is too hot, thus the fan will continiously run, this can short out or wear out over time. Call an auto parts store to see if they have a replacement. If a replacement ends up costing to much, you can wire the hot and negative wires from the fan to a toggleswitch inside the Jeep, and manually turn the fan off and on. If this is the route you choose to go, make sure you get a toggle switch that will safely handle the amperage, and use the correct gauge wiring. You may even be able to find the new toggleswitch that lights up AND beeps when the ignition is shut off to remind you to shut the switch off. Hope this helps
yes but be careful
I would check the Cooling Fan Switch/Relay. Sounds like it is a bad switch and stays 'on' well after it is needed, if it is running the battery down.
Cooling fans won't stop running in the cold on a grand am gt 2001
it may be as simple as a bad or weak battery of a bad idle air control motor
check your battery cables if they are not lose my was doing the same think it was the battery cables.
vacuum assisted disc brakes
Should be near the battery....probably mounted on the inner fender with a 10mm bolt. It's a small black box with 4 or 5 wires running to it. It just plugs in.
Engine running hot and cooling fan working to cool it down?
this could be caused by a fautly cooling temp sensor, sending a false reading to the cooling fan relay, causing the fan to continue running, also, could be caused by a faulty relay, I would rerplace both.
cooling fan relay is bad?
You left the light or something on last night and ran out the battery or your battery died
Mobil 5w30 ESP synthetic
how do i change the battery in my grand am gt how do i change the battery in my grand am gt
Many newer model vehicles have fans that keep running. I would bet yours is supposed to run for a minute or two to assist in cooling.
i dont know you should just get a new vehical
A 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee does not have a speedometer cable. The speedometer signal comes from a sensor on the transmission or transfer case.
Could be the fan relay located on the drivers side frame below the battery.
Alternator may not be charging the battery sufficienty Test with a voltmeter A fully charged battery should read approx. 12.8 volts without engine running Should read approx. 13.8-14.2 with engine running
Probablty low on coolant. Check the level after the engine has cooled.
I BELIEVE THE WATER COULD BE COMING FROM YOUR AIR CONDITIONING .
ATF. Either Mopar or Dextron
something else must be running when the car is off besides the clock.
Most likely a belt.
