you have to clean it with some spray and a q tip try not to let the skin go over the monroe i got my belly button pierced last January and skin would try to grow on it but the spray helped and it cleans germs of course (:
try looking for some spray that kills germs and make sure its safe to put on the monroe don't use too much though i hope this helps and good luck =)
its a good idea. i just had the same problem about two days ago, but instead of going to a doctor, i just had my brother and stepdad steralize a razor blade (like to peel stuff off with) and make little incisions until they got the disk out from under my skin.
You are over cleaning your piercing and drying it out
Is it a new piercing? It might just be bruising. Especially if the piercer used clamps. Otherwise, there really shouldn't be dark skin but it might be scarring. You can use scar cream on it just not directly in the piercing
Do you mean that the skin had healed around the jewelry? If thats it, go to your piercer to have it removed.
Actually, it is more a problem of how much skin is available in the piercing area, and how thick that skin is. Thin skin is more likely to allow the piercing to eject. Check with a licensed body piercer and let them assess your navel skin where the piercing would be.
Take it out! that means your body is rejecting it! Actually it's a reaction to the cleaning product or skin cleanser you are using. (Hypertrophic Reaction)
Sure just try to keep the makeup away from the piercing as much as you can during the initial healing stages. Makeup is great but only on skin that isn't damaged, once introduced inside the body, this can act as an irritant and inflame the piercing.
Depends on the piercer's experience/the state laws. If its seriously embedded, they'll have to cut it out. If state law prohibits it, you might have to go to a doctor for it
Most facial piercings take anything from three to six weeks, depending on the condition of the skin and overall health.
See your doctor of assistance.
Do not remove it when it is swollen. You can cause tiny tears in your skin, which can increase swelling even further, and cause infection. To relieve the swelling, take an Ibuprofen, and put a warm compress over the piercing. These two combined should bring down the swelling enough to where you can take the jewelry out. Good luck!
The skin shouldn't heal over the back of the jewelry. Its common for the piercing to kinda nestle and from a sort of crater in your lip. If its starting ot heal over, go to your piercer and they can give you a longer stud.
The skin around it will be dry and it'll take longer to heal.
