it can be an ulcer. some people have a gum problem where they get these quite often. they sell small bottles of ointment to put on it that you apply with a brush. and if it hurts when you eat you can get Orabase made by Colgate and that will temporarily cover up the ulcer while you eat so the food can't reach it and irritate it.
there are two reasons for this: first, when you bite the inside of your mouth, a small harmless bump appears. then when you have a cavity that you do not take care of, a bump(called a puss pocket,) appears near a tooth.
If acne products don't seem to work, ask your doctor for his/her input on how to get rid of it...... it's really not that hard...=)
