It depends. Do you only have one or is only one descended? If one is still in your abdominal cavity it either needs to be moved or removed. If left undescended there is a fair chance it could develop cancer. If for whatever reason you only have one this does not need to cause a problem. You may or may not be sterile. This can be checked. There are implants that can be inserted to give you a normal appearance. See the link below.
if there is fever it might be epididymitis (inflammation in the tubes at the back of the testes that store and pass the sperms to the vas) , Or Testicular torsion which is very dangerious if not relieved in 2 to 4 hours max,,, and its a surgical emergency.. Or some other thing... Ether way you must seek medical attension asasp.
A person with a single testicle can still reproduce and live a perfectly normal life. One is enough.
Yes, testicles aren't vital organs.

Yes, he has only one testicle.
Yes, as long as the testicle is functioning properly then you can reproduce with one testicle.
Either testicle is capable of getting a female pregnant. Even a male with only one testicle can get a female pregnant.

He should be neutered if by the age of six months if he only has one testicle, as he could get cancer in the one that hasn't dropped. My Jack Russell has the same and that's what my vet told me.

A 30 year old will have no problem having children if he has only one testicle, as long as that single testicle is in good health.
Yes. :P My friends all had their dogs spayed or neutered at around 4 months. It will probably only take 1 week for the other testicle to drop and only 2 weeks to book an appointment. A Cryptorchid is a male horse who has at least one testicle that was retained in the abdomen. Normally a colt's testicles will descend or "drop" at about 1 year, and a ring (Inguinal ring) closes above it to keep it in the scrotum. Sometimes the ring closes and leaves the testicle in the abdomen instead of the scrotum.
Although it is possible to father a child if only one testicle is removed, some surgeons recommend banking sperm as a precaution in case the other testicle should develop a tumor at a later date.
yes
Not if only one testicle is removed. You can produce sperm just fine with only one testicle
