Beethoven is best known for his nine symphonies, which have been called the cornerstones of Western civilization. The most famous two are the Fifth Symphony and the Ninth Symphony because of their grandeur. The Moonlight is best remembered for it's dream-like opening. The Pathetique, on the other hand, is a passionate and desperate work which requires that the symphony produce a loud, overwhelming sound.

Is Beethoven's music played more than any other composer?

It is difficult to say whose music is played the most. There is no doubt that Beethoven's music remains very popular. On the other hand, Mozart was one of the world's most prolific composers, and by the sheer volume of the music he composed, his music might be played more than any other composer. There is simply no way to tell.

How was Beethoven's music related to Mozart's music?

Beethoven and Mozart were both composers during the classical period. The most popular compositions in that period were symphonies and piano sonatas. However, music by Beethoven shows a huge contrast between dynamics, much more than Mozart's.

Who is better Beethoven or Vivaldi?

My orchestra teacher told me this. Beethoven and Mozart are 2 great famous composers but both are different. Beethoven was always writing dramatic music, considering he was deaf *hard of hearing* he was more inspirational. But Beethoven was always messy, never ever had time to clean up or take baths which was gross. He actually became a prodigy at the age of 5 but also had a very tragic life. *writing a symphony would take 6 months* Mozart wrote the type of happy, bubbly music. Became a prodigy at the age of 3 - 7 *not accurate* was German of course and was just a plain genius. He was born in the Classic or Baroque era while I think Beethoven was born as well in the classic. *would take Mozart at least a day to write a symphony!* hope this had helped!

Who is more famous beethoven or the beatles?

It would have to be Beethoven. He is a thousand times more talented and important than the Beatles ever could have been. The Beatles were just a god-awful, manufactured pop group who were only in the business for money. Beethoven had real musical talent and a much bigger, everlasting impact in music than those idiots.

In the book night by elie wiesel why can't the musicians play beethoven?

The musicians in the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel cannot play Beethoven because the SS officer in charge of the camp finds Beethoven to be too intellectual and high-brow for the prisoners. He wants more jovial music that will entertain the guards, rather than music that might provoke deeper thoughts or emotions.
