Well starting from why the people moved away from New England was because there was one person with to much power. Also they left because of religious prosecution. Also another reason was the proclamation of 1763 that kept them from moving West. These things affected the way they lived like, for example they hated the idea of one person having to much power so they created a government. Using a social contract to bond them together. Also they gave the people there own rights, John Locke an English pholosipher wrote a document called the natural rights. This stated that everyone was born with the rights to live/ be alive, Liberty to live the way they wanted and to own property. Also they wrote the constitution. The Articles of Confederation. And the Declaration of Independence ( written on July,4,1776 )
