For the IN TEXT citation you'll need the author's last name and year of publication. If its a direct quote, you'll also need the page number. For the FULL citation, if its a journal article, you'll need the author(s), year of publication, title of article, title of journal, issue number, and pages.

An in-text citation should include the author's last name and the publication year of the source. If the author's name is not available, you can use the title of the source. It should be placed in parentheses within the text close to the cited information.

According to my understanding and experience, for the in-text citation ITSELF, all that is needed is the author's last name and the publication year. The last name can be included in the sentence itself, in which case only the year would be included in the parentheses.

In-text citations in APA format should include the author's last name and the date within a parenthesis. In writing the references section, sources should be listed in alphabetical order according to the author's last name. The publication date, the title of the source, and other publication details should be included as well.
