improved answer:

The inventing of the Printing press was a good innovation. It was a machine that transfers lettering or images by contact with various forms of inked surface onto paper or similar material fed into it in various ways. This helped many monks that wrote bibles and books by hand to make them faster helping the society that could (and couldn't) read them. The people that couldn't read then had more books and bibles to help them learn how to read making Europe a little less illiterate. Thanks Martin Luther

This led to religious diversity and a decrease in the power and authority of the Catholic Church. The Reformation sparked widespread social and political change. It challenged the authority of monarchs and popes, promoting ideas like individual religious freedom and the importance of the individual's relationship with God. It also led to conflicts and wars, such as the Thirty Years' War, as different religious groups vied for dominance. The Reformation had a profound impact on education and literacy. Protestant leaders encouraged the translation and dissemination of the Bible in the vernacular languages, leading to increased literacy rates among the general population.
