It's about this wide and about yay so tall...
check any bronco group web site, membership is usually free and they have all the schematics for the back window wiring and more
yes
break it
To remove the window in the rear hatch of a 1989 Ford Bronco, the weather stripping around the window will have to be pulled back or pushed down slightly. This can be accomplished with a straight screwdriver or a putty knife.
If its the bronco XLT you'll have to take the tail gate paneling off the inside. The motor, gears, etc. for the rear window are located in there. I had the same problem with mine sometime back.
Try Wd 40 in the left and right guides
If you are just wanting to know where it is, it is between the intake manifold and the firewall on the back side.
this is the biggest pain i ever had to do when i had my bronco... but its simple, just take the plate off of the inside of the tailgate (tailgate could be up or down, down is easier), find the motor, unplug it and remove the couple bolts that are holding it in. careful not to cut yourself there isn't much room to work. the hardest part is getting it back in. good luck!
you have to take all the plastic trim off inside the rear around the window the window is bolted into place yes i know it sounds crazy but there little nuts tend bolts are molded into the rubber around the window and nuts on the inside so there you go
Most likely the reverse lights were attached to the light bar.
Sounds like your window drive motor is bad. The power draw is evident, causing the dimming.
If it's manual, either the handle is broken, the window regulator is stripped, or the glass is broken and missing. If it's electric, either the switch is bad or the lift motor is bad. Or the glass is missing.
