Ajax - Asynchronous JavaScript and XML
By using the programming practice termed "Ajax" you will be able to trade data without having to load a new page. AJAX is a new technique for creating better, faster, and more interactive web applications. With it, internet applications can be made richer and more user-friendly.
Ajax or Ajax the Great, son of Telamon, was a character in Homer's epic poem "The Iliad", part one of his writings "The Odyssey" being the second. Ajax, according to legend, was a mighty warrior of Greece, who went mad and sacrificed hundreds of animals in bloodshed with his sword, and then finally, tragically, falling on it himself (he committed suicide.) He was recruited to fight in the battle of Troy, and dueled a man of the city. In the tale, they gave gifts to each-other before the duel. Ajax gave him a belt, and the man gave him the sword he later used to kill himself. That man was strangled by Achilles riding on a chariot. He tied him to the end and dragged his limp and dead body around the walls and gates with Ajax's belt.
Ajax was the king of Salamis, an island in the Saronic Gulf near Piraeus.

There were actually too people named Ajax in Greek mythology, both soldiers in the Trojan War. The more well-known one was known as Ajax the Great, and he was a great hero. Ajax the Great fought in single combat against the Trojan hero Hector, and stunned Hector, temporarily incapacitating him. When Achilles was killed and the Trojans defeated, his armor was to be given to either Odysseus or Ajax. To be given it was a great honor, and whoever did not get it was dishonored. Odysseus received the honor, and Ajax became mad (insane), believing the Greeks' cattle to be the Greek chiefs. He slew the cattle and tied one which he thought to be Odysseus to a pole and beat it up, then killed it. He finally came to his senses, realized what he did, and killed himself.
The other Ajax was Ajax the lesser, another soldier in the war. When he was on his way home, his ship was sunk by Athena, who disliked him. Ajax proclaimed that he could withstand whatever the gods threw at him, and at this act of hubris, Poseidon split the rock that Ajax clung upon, and he died.

Ajax was a mythological Greek hero, the son of Telamon and Periboea and king of Salamis[1]. He plays an important role in Homer's Iliad and in the Epic Cycle, a series of epic poems about the Trojan War. To distinguish him from Ajax, son of Oileus (Ajax the Lesser), he is called "Telamonian Ajax," "Greater Ajax," or "Ajax the Great". In Etruscan mythology, he is known as Aivas Tlamunus.
